Attorney / Managing Counsel - Financial Services

Leading financial services firm is need of an experienced attorney to be counsel to a part of a large in house marketing department.  The individual in this position will be responsible for all of the legal functions of contract and marketing review as well as acting as the legal expert on all of the rules and regulations governing investment products, including mutual funds, retirement products, and variable annuities.  Responsibilities include review of all marketing material and collateral, internal, external, as well as the contracts with brokerage firms and insurance firms that they partner with.  The attorney will work as part of the team that develops online systems and programs.  The attorney will also provide guidance on all Ira’s, Roths, qualified candidates must have a jd and be a member of the Bar in one state.  At least 8 years experience in a financial firm  or a regulatory body or a law firm where their responsibilities are those listed above, specifically focusing on marketing and product development.knowledge of all financial products are a must, including mutual funds, retirement products and variable annuities. Excellent knowledge of ERISA,,401k,403b and all of the labor and tax laws.  Experience in negotiating contracts is also needed.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as well as being part of a fast paced team.
