Financial Restructuring, Chapter 11 Associate

Our client is seeking a Financial Restructuring Associate with 2 to 5 years experience for their New York Office. Candidates will provide national representation to a wide range of clients including, among others, debtors, official creditors committees, hedge funds, and various companies, as creditors or lenders in connection with Chapter 11 cases, and bankruptcy related litigation and out of court workouts. Various duties include, prepare for and participate in client pitches, review and analyze SEC filings, financial projections and loan structures in order to ascertain potential creditor recoveries, negotiate and draft settlement agreements in connection with avoidance actions against creditors. Draft various pleadings and related documents in connection with multi-million dollar Chapter 11 bankruptcies, including, without limitation, petitions, first day motions and related affidavits, plans of reorganization, disclosure statements, retention applications, motions and objections relevant to the treatment of claims, research procedural and substantive issues of bankruptcy law and draft memoranda of findings for internal and client review and use. Review and analyze SEC filings, financial projections and loan structures in order to ascertain potential creditor recoveries.
