You will be a Mid-Senior Level Distressed Debt Trading Attorney with ideally between 3-8 years experience in representing investors in companies experiencing financial distress.You will have experience in transactions across the following areas: the purchase and sale of bank loans and bank loan claims; the acquisition of vendor trade claims in Chapter 11 cases; stand-by Claims Purchase (Put) Agreements and programs; and the settlement of disputed claims in bankruptcy cases.You will be part of a Distressed Debt Trading practice that routinely represents investment banks, commercial banks and domestic and international hedge funds in their purchases and sales of distressed investments, such as bank loans, trade claims and swap claims in addition to privately traded securities. The firm are active participants in the Loan Syndications and Trade Association (LSTA) and Loan Market Association (LMA). You will work work closely with colleagues who specialize in derivatives and structured products and coordinate international issues in European offices. Who we are looking for :
You will be an experienced Distressed Debt Trading Attorney with experience in Loan Syndication Trading Association (LSTA) documents and have worked within a law firm environment.You will have an excellent academic profile and be admitted to the NY Bar.Experience in working directly with clients and managing several responsibilities at any one time are essential skills.
