Our client is a litigation boutique founded at the beginning of 2009 with an array of talent unique for a firm of its size. The firms people include former federal prosecutors, former U.S. Supreme Court clerks, and a nationally recognized intellectual property litigator. Each of the firms Attorney at some of the nations top firms and have decades of experience as trial lawyers and appellate advocates. They handle complex civil and criminal matters and also provide strategic counseling outside the litigation context. Job description :
As a Senior Commercial/Civil Litigation Associate or Counsel with ideally a minimum of 5 years experience as a commercial litigator to help support the partners in this small litigation boutique with an increasingly busy case load. You will take responsibility for trials at State & Federal court, having taken and defended depositions, managed witness preparation, and have motion practice and strong research and writing skills. You must be competent in answering opposing counsel and be comfortable speaking with a judge.You will be able to take a case from inception to completion and have a broad focus across different areas. Who we are looking for :
You will have strong credentials and will only be considered if you come from a Top 20 Law School, ideally Law Review... this is essential!!You will have ideally completed a US supreme court clerkship... again this is highly desirable.You should also have strong experience and candidates with mid-sized or BigLaw firm experience would be ideal. While good credentials are expected, your experience in arguing motions and taking depositions within a broad based commercial litigation group are also extremely important. The Partners are looking for someone who can come in and jump into a case and handle a challenging work load. We are looking for someone who would like to work in a small boutique firm that does sophisticated work and are increasing their client base as they are seen as a firm with excellent service, with top performing attorneys with great credentials and a stellar performance record. You will have excellent academics and a strong substantive skill set. You will be admitted to the NY Bar. Whats on offer :
