Practice Development Manager

We have an immediate opening for a Practice Development Manager in our San Francisco Office. This position will be responsible for managing all marketing and business development functions, both strategic and tactical, of the Restructuring, Tax, and International practice groups in the San Francisco Office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collaborating with practice area leaders, office head, office administrator, and industry and marketing group(s); providing business development, marketing, and communications support to firm lawyers; maintaining proposal database and league table/industry survey content; supporting responses to RFPs, presentations, and other opportunities through written proposal and presentation materials; and assisting with the execution of client-development events. Additional responsibilities include development and tracking of annual Client Development budgets, and collaborating with and supporting the Talent Development department’s lateral recruiting efforts.

A minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in a marketing and/or business development-related position in a law firm or other professional services environment is required. A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, research, or communications-related field is preferred, as is a J.D. or MBA.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience, be highly customer service oriented, technologically savvy, organized, able to multi-task and demonstrate good judgment, prioritize, and exhibit sound judgment in a multiple leader, team oriented, fast paced environment.
