In-House Corporate Attorney

Growing casual-dining restaurant company in Dallas, Texas seeks General Counsel to oversee a broad range of contract and legal issues involving but not limited to the our Franchise restaurant development. 

Job Description:

Provide legal services on a broad range of legal issues including but not limited to franchise law, real estate law, and employment law. The General Counsel will take a significant role in the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of franchise contracts, corporate governance matters, employment matters, litigation, and other related issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provided legal counsel and advice to the organization’s staff and management on issues of legal and business significance, including real estate, employment, and litigation matters.


• Drafts and negotiates contractual agreements between the organization and third parties, including but not limited to vendor contracts, leases, intellectual property licensing agreements, service agreements, and agreements related franchise sales.

Requirements:

• License to practice law in the state of Texas for three or more years of the above-referenced experience.

• 5 years of law firm and/or in-house experience is required.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Working knowledge and experience in Franchise law

• Prior experience working with the restaurant industry and franchising considered a plus.
