We are currently seeking a Senior Counsel of North American Operations within our Legal Department at our Morgantown, WV location.
In this role, the Sr. Counsel will provide legal counsel, analysis and advice to Mylan Inc. and its operating subsidiaries, focusing principally on North American commercial operations and related contracts and regulatory matters. He/She will: work closely with the Company’s North American General Counsel and NA executive management team with respect to a wide variety of complex legal issues; draft, review, negotiate and interpret business contracts with suppliers, customers and other third parties, and advise with respect to transactions and contract terms; provide legal advice and guidance on complying with laws, especially US federal and state laws and regulations relating to pharmaceutical sales, marketing, pricing and reimbursement, including government programs; manage a team of operations group attorneys (presently six) and administrative personnel; retain and manage outside counsel as needed, subject to approval of the General Counsel, etc.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school, plus a minimum of nine (9) years of experience as an attorney (at least 5 years advising pharmaceutical clients; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. The Sr. Counsel must understand and be able to apply a wide range of legal principles, theories and concepts in the related field. He/She must have a working knowledge of pharmaceutical industry practices, especially laws and regulations governing pharmaceutical distribution, marketing, sales and pricing in the United States. Candidates must be licensed in good standing to practice law in West Virginia or Pennsylvania. Bar admission in other U.S. jurisdictions will be considered, with commitment and qualification to obtain license in West Virginia or Pennsylvania.
