Manage the legal group. Manage outside counsel and their legal fees and handle all aspects of monthly legal fee reporting and quarterly/annual budgeting. Handle/oversee general counseling on variety of newspaper issues including (1) pre-publication review and related newsroom training, (2) newsgathering advice and related newsroom training, (3) circulation integrity issues, (4) FOIL and access requests. Handle/oversee all disputes and litigation (working with Corporate Legal).
