The Silicon Valley office of the firm has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager with four to five years of experience to assist the office’s Corporate & Securities – Technology (CS&T) group. Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and emerging growth companies rely on Pillsbury’s Silicon Valley CS&T team for advice on everything from company formation to financings, corporate governance, technology transactions, acquisitions and public offerings. With decades of experience, we have assisted thousands of entrepreneurs, startups and investors across fast-paced, developing industries.
The Business Development Manager will report to the Director, Business Development, who is located in the San Francisco office. While this position will primarily support the SV office, you will be part of the larger marketing team located throughout the country and will work with your team regularly to complete firmwide objectives.
The Business Development Manager will have responsibility primarily for managing the internal business development efforts in the Silicon Valley office, including creating pitch materials, conducting research and analysis, managing events and generally planning, supporting and implementing a broad array of business development initiatives to help expand the firm’s Emerging Growth & Venture Capital practices in the Silicon Valley office.
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated track record of law firm or professional services success. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree. Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are critical to success as are collegial, collaborative and team player attributes. Candidate must be a self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast and tight timetables and can handle high-pressure environments. Strong to advanced technical skills with the Microsoft Suite of products as well as technology specific to the legal field is required.
