Position Overview

The Senior Project Manager independently performs project management responsibilities for information systems development and business process efforts.

This role focuses is on enterprise-wide projects of extremely high risk, complexity and visibility. Responsibilities include resource allocation and management of all phases of a development life cycle, i.e., feasibility study, requirements, analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute multiple project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Prepare and review deliverables
  • Apply our methodology and enforce project standards
  • Prepare for project phase reviews and quality assurance procedures
  • Minimize our exposure and risk on projects
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Manage project budget
  • Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and monitor project receivables
  • Challenge others to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor
  • Inspire coworkers to attain goals and pursue excellence
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change
  • Manage the process of innovative change effectively
  • Mentor Project Managers within the Project Team
  • Consistently acknowledge and appreciate each team member's contributions
  • Effectively utilize each team member to his/her fullest potential
  • Motivate team to work together in the most efficient manner
  • Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with team members
  • Mitigate team conflict and communication problems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Project Managementexperience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience
